How it works

A deliberate three-step workflow.

LocaleArc keeps connection, translation, review, and publication visible and under your control.

Connect

Sign in on Google’s consent screen. LocaleArc requests the youtube.force-ssl scope so it can read your channel’s video metadata and update localizations.

Translate and review

When you request a translation, the source title, description, and your instructions go directly from your Mac to the AI provider you selected and configured.

Publish intentionally

Edit the drafts locally and approve them first. LocaleArc updates approved localized titles and descriptions only when you start the publish action.

Data control

Built around your Mac, not a developer cloud.

  • No LocaleArc account. Anatolia Apps does not operate a LocaleArc backend that receives your channel data, drafts, or credentials.
  • Protected credentials. Google OAuth credentials and AI API keys are stored in macOS Keychain.
  • Local project state. Imported metadata, translation drafts, settings, and operation history are stored on your Mac.
  • No ads or tracking. The app has no advertising, cross-app tracking, or developer-configured analytics.

Google & YouTube

Clear access, limited purpose.

LocaleArc uses YouTube API Services only to identify the channel you authorize, load its uploads and metadata into your local workspace, and read, add, update, or remove video localizations at your direction. It does not upload or delete videos, post comments, or change video visibility.

Disconnecting in the app asks Google to revoke access and removes locally stored YouTube metadata, drafts, channel identity, activity history, and recovery copies. You can also manage access from Google Account permissions. Removing local data does not remove content stored by YouTube.

LocaleArc records each full channel refresh and removes YouTube data that has not been refreshed within 30 calendar days on the next app launch.

LocaleArc’s handling of Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy and is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
